And THAT is exactly what Heather did when she found herself unemployed after being a Landscape Manager for four years.
Landscape Design and Plants are in Heather's blood so starting this business was inevitable.

Heather Jerrard, Owner/Designer
I like long walks on the beach (who doesn’t?!), collecting rocks and shells from the sand,
IPAs and Local Brews, Red Wine (not white), RV'ing, crochet, and making other people laugh.

I moved to London in 2008 for a promising career as a Pharmacy Technician (PLOT TWIST!).
​
I have lived in India, studied design in Cairo, Egypt, and volunteered in Haiti,
learned about garden history in Italy and explored gardens in Spain.
​
I have been working in the Landscape Profession since 2013, when I first attended the
Landscape Design Advanced Diploma program at Fanshawe College.
​
I have worked as a Horticulturalist at Whistling Gardens (check them out here: http://www.whistlinggardens.ca/)
and at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington (https://www.rbg.ca/)
​
I have been acting, directing, and producing independent theatre for over 30 years (yes, I'm that old).
​
In 2017, I married my husband (and fellow nerd) Darren.
Our three pet rats (Peanut, Butter and Jelly) keep us busy.
​
I love to share my knowledge (and sometimes obsession) of plants and plant care,
incorporating a sense of intrigue, adding wonder or whimsy to outdoor spaces,
and contributing to making this beautiful city - a more beautiful place to live, work and play.

​Heather has passed her GD Pro (Garden Designer Professional) examination and is now in the process of becoming a Certified Landscape Designer (CLD).

With years of experience in landscape design, Denise’s expertise is sought after for both corporate and residential landscape design and decor.
Denise is a recurring feature columnist in publications like the London Free Press, as well as a public speaker on all topics around gardening and landscape design.
I believe in crafting spaces that blend personality, function, and beauty. My passion lies in sustainable, intentional design—whether through a thoughtfully planned garden, a perfectly curated thrifted find, or a festive holiday transformation.
